There's been some discussion on the interwebs lately on whether doing cardio before weight training is "bad" and you should do it afterwards especially to "burn fat".
Here's my 2 cents that no one asked for, there's no "bad" way to exercise.. You get yourself up and moving it's a win in my book. Don't put a stigma on how much you have to do every day. If you have the ability to work out 4 days... 3 days.. 2 days.. 1 day.. in a week.. Ok great.. maybe it's 1 day more than you did last week and maybe you can do an extra one next time.
There's not right or wrong way to do these things and when you have people on the internet & social media telling you otherwise it can get really confusing.
Apparently the "best way" for Burning fat is cardio after a weight session, but honestly you aren't going to see results if you aren't changing your diet (i.e. getting into a calorie deficit)
Calorie deficit... So energy expended is greater than energy consumed... You don't even have to do Cardio to "burn more fat" resistance training, cardio etc is all good for fat loss as long as your calories in are less than your calories out. This does not mean you only eat 800 calories a day, it's not sustainable your body needs a certain number of calories to just function and for an adult 800 is way too low and impossible to maintain long term.
Cardio is good for maintaining a healthy heart and lungs and cardio prior to weight training could help increase endurance as you may find yourself fatiguing the muscles before getting to the weights. This is going to help increase your muscles endurance under fatigue which is good for runners, swimmers, cyclists etc..
Maybe you want to get the one you don't like the most out of the way early.. which I'm all for!
There's no such thing as a bad workout. Just doing the workout is a win!
